Cleaning House

Cleaning House

It's the most difficult thing to lose a loved one ... even more so when you lose two. Both of my wonderful Parents passed away in a year's time. Now, we are carefully and thoughtfully going through their possessions accumulated throughout a 60 year marriage. Love letters and cards by the boxful, photographs too numerous to mention, family heirlooms ... records and toys from our childhood. Life - it goes fast ... and you're now in a place that you never thought you would be. It's life's tragedy for sure. I guess the saving grace is to find happiness and gratefulness in knowing that you had the best Parents that you could ever have ... and consider yourself lucky.

Happy 30th Birthday ELIZABETH !! We love You !!!

Ann,
i have visited your site a few times but was touched by your "cleaning house". it is another journey for us when we lose our parents. relish in the memories. i grew up in Easton and was delighted to read about the Banana factory. will visit there next time i "home".

Sorry about your parents - it is so hard to lose them no matter what their ages.

What a sad but appropriate title and you did such justice with this beautiful painting.
