Boats of Antibes Juan-les-Pins

Boats of Antibes Juan-les-Pins

Boats of Antibes Juan-les-Pins

Last night my we went through some of my Parent's things ... and we came across an old Hess's box filled with love letters. Hundreds of letters, notes, cards ... words of love. My Mother was only 20 years or so .. and already received hundreds of love letters ... love letters to lead to 60 years of marriage - and more love letters ... and a husband who mourned her departure until he passed away a year later. Now ... what is love ... enduring true love ... compared to that?

I could, ever so possibly, be paralyzed with grief again ... still

what a wonderful gift to find all those letters. If you are interested in preserving (and sharing) them with others in the family, I suggest first arranging them in chronological order (as best as you can) - I would put them in acid free page protectors - envelope and all... then scan them all in page by page - envelopes too - and then check out www.blurb.com - the coolest place to do self publishing - it's a great (and easy) system to drag and drop publish a book - once it's all done, you can order a beautiful book of your mother's correspondence - (it's just a good way to store and share these moments - it might be totally inappropriate, but I thought I'd offer the idea) - nothing is worse than finding fragments of love and life hidden away only to realize that they could be lost again with time.

All the best,

Kyle
