Tonight, after a day painting in my studio, I will stop to purchase some fish and vegetables .... and cook dinner with Gretel, my Father's cat. Like me, she is lonesome since the passing of my Dad ... and it is comforting for me to spend the evening with her ... cooking, hugging and kissing her .. and probably watching 'Love Actually' for the nth time ....

Animals feel as humans feel ... grief is grief. And comfort is comfort.
