Bethlehem, PA • The Christmas City

This is the town where I spend each day. I'm lucky to live here and my studio, located in the Banana Factory, is just a walk over the bridge.

Named 'Bethlehem' on Christmas Eve, 1741, by the Moravian settlers who founded the community, Bethlehem is known as "Christmas City USA" for its annual transformation into a Yuletide wonderland. But with its historical tours, shopping, and fine dining, this sophisticated and picturesque town is a terrific place to visit at any time of the year.

Home to Lehigh University, Moravian College, Musikfest, the Celtic Classic Highland Games and Christkindlmarkt, Bethlehem celebrates the present as much as it reflects on the past.

Stop in for a bite to eat and a hand crafted beer at the Bethlehem Brew Works.

Enjoy a romantic carriage ride throughout historic Bethlehem.

Bethlehem is a city of "firsts" and "oldests:" the first trombone choir, the oldest continually running bookshop, the oldest 'Bach Choir' in America and the first Christmas tree. In fact, every first Friday of the month, South Bethlehem shops stay open late, offering free food or samples to customers.

The Banana Factory

I've been a resident artist with the Banana Factory since May 15th, 1999. Recently, I relocated into a beautiful spacious studio with large windows.

Why not stop by for our First Friday celebration taking place on November 2nd, 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Enjoy complimentary beverages and hors d'oeuvres and visit the 28 artists' studios. We'd love to see you and welcome you into our world.

If you would like to purchase a 6" x 6" oil painting on stretched canvas that you see on this site, or commission a painting that is special to you, please email me.

These paintings are priced at $100.00 plus s/h.
