Paper Embosser

Paper Embosser

This was my Grandfather's embosser. When the paper is embossed with this particular tool, the embossed area reads: United States Fidelity & Guaranty Company • Incorporated 1896.

USF&G was a Baltimore, Maryland based insurance company that was acquired by the Saint Paul Companies in 1998. It had originally been called United States Fidelity & Guaranty Company. The USF&G Building was the tallest building in Baltimore. The building is now primarily occupied by Legg Mason and remains (as of 2007) Baltimore's tallest building.

My friend Diana and I are in the habit of folding the bathroom tissue in a pretty v-shape before we leave the bathroom. Well, one day I came over to visit, and not only did she have the toilet tissue folded in a pretty v-shape, but she also embossed it as well! Now that's going the extra mile!!

If you would like to purchase this 6" x 6" oil painting on stretched canvas, please email me. This painting is priced at $100.00 plus s/h.
