There was a 'sale' at Phoebe in Allentown and I purchased wonderful pool table balls and this golf ball. I'm not a golfer, but I can certainly appreciate the beauty of a golf ball. When we were kids, we used to peel the surface and scrape away the 'rubber band' coating .. and then play with the super ball within.

Titleist is a brand name owned by the Acushnet Company, headquartered in Fairhaven, Massachusetts. Titleist produces golf equipment and is best known for its golf balls, but it also produces clubs and accessories.

Titleist's mottos are "The #1 ball in golf" and "Serious clubs for serious golfers."

First played in the U.S. Open in 1949, Titleist golf balls are still the top-selling and arguably best-known balls in the United States.
