Ann -- these are lovely! I'm guessing you must be as big a fan of Cezanne as I am. The way you lay your shadows in on this one really remind me of him. I like how bumpy and textured your pears are, though, more that his. I recently had 15 minutes with Pears and Knife, 1879 up in Portland, ME, and what stunned me is just how flat his paint plains (brush strokes?) were and how much he relayed on variations of color temperature for perspective.

These get looser and more luscious each time you paint them -- really beautiful, Ann.
